PLP has announced a series of senior appointments to the business as it prepares for further expansion.

The specialist logistics and industrial property platform has hired Andrew Penny as Independent Chairman, James Deane to Finance Director, and Jonathan Maher as a Development Director.

Andrew Penny has been appointed as Independent Chairman. Prior to this, he spent 13 years at JPMorgan, where he was a Managing Director, Global Co-Head of Real Estate Investment Banking, and an approved person by the Financial Conduct Authority.

James Deane joins the management team of PLP from Chancerygate to take on the role of Finance Director. Prior to this James held positions at Quintain and Price Waterhouse Coopers.

Jonathan Maher will be joining PLP as a Development Director in January. Jonathan is a career logistics real estate specialist having spent the last 9 years as a Development Director and shareholder at one of the UKs most respected trader developers, Bericote, and prior to that as a partner at Cushman & Wakefield.

Jeremy Greenland, CEO of PLP, said: We’re delighted to welcome these three senior and experienced professionals to PLP. We see great opportunities ahead in the sector, so these hires form part of a wider plan to expand PLP’s depth and breadth in both property and capital markets over the medium term.
