PLP appoints Tom Walker as Operations Director

PLP is delighted to announce the appointment of Tom Walker as Operations Director.

Tom will be overseeing and responsible for PLP’s general business operations, encompassing fund and corporate management.

Prior to joining PLP, Tom spent 5 years at Global Student Accommodation Group Limited (“GSA”), a specialist student accommodation investment, asset and development manager. At GSA, he headed up the risk and compliance function, responsible for all aspects of GSA’s compliance framework and overseeing the risk management function. He was also heavily involved in transaction management, working with the team to acquire multiple high value portfolios into the GSA family. Tom also had significant exposure to the company secretarial and operations functions, providing him with a broad range of experience in the real estate investment management sector.

Before GSA, Tom lived in Jersey for 12 years, working in retail and corporate banking before moving into the fund administration industry, acting as the dedicated compliance resource to a number of collective investment schemes spread across a variety of asset classes, including real estate, debt and private equity, and managing the risk and compliance function for investment vehicles with c.£8bn AUM.
