PLP breaks ground at PLP Bessemer Park logistics development near Sheffield
PLP has appointed Sheffield based construction contractor J F Finnegan to construct Phase 1 at PLP Bessemer Park, Sheffield. J F Finnegan is on-site and construction to the 179,000 sq ft development is scheduled to start in January 2019.
PLP Bessemer Park, Shepcote Lane, Sheffield is an 850,000 sq ft development site for urban logistics accommodation. PLP Bessemer Park, adjacent to M1 of Junction 34, will be developed in 2 phases.
Phase 1, J F Finnegan starting construction of 2 spec units, 45,000 sq ft and 134,000 sq ft in January 2019 to be completed in Q4 2019.
Phase 2 received outline permission from Sheffield City Council for a 660,000 sq ft development on a build to suit basis.

J F Finnegan has a substantial portfolio in the Sheffield region and recently delivered schemes for Boeing UK, The Harworth Group, McLaren Automotive and The University of Sheffield.

Bessemer Park is immediately south of Meadowhall Shopping Centre and the new Sheffield IKEA store with immediate access to junction 34 of the M1 motorway, six airports within a 90-mile drive with 75 per cent of the UK within a 4.5 hour HGV drive.
