Logistics North gathers pace
It’s all systems go at Logistics North. Phase 1 infrastructure works are well underway, with plans submitted at the end of July for the 558-acre country park that will surround the site.
Aldi is confirmed as the anchor occupier and has taken the 35-acre plot D1 for the relocation of its regional distribution centre and HQ. The company will build a 450,000 sq. ft state of the art facility to support its growing business in the North West. Construction of the new unit began in July and should be completed in early 2016.
Logistics North has been brought to the market by strategic alliance partner Harworth Estates and is the North West’s largest live industrial scheme. Offering 247 acres of prime logistics land and potential 4 million sq ft of space, 20 million consumers and 60 percent of UK businesses are located within a two hour drive of the site.
Logistics North is located near Bolton and has immediate access to Junction 4 of the M61.
