PLP appoints Ofei Kwafo-Akoto as General Counsel
PLP is pleased to announce the appointment of Ofei Kwafo-Akoto as its General Counsel, underscoring the firm’s commitment to strengthening its legal and governance framework as it continues to grow its development and investment management platform.
In his new role, Ofei will oversee legal, compliance, governance, and risk management across PLP and its managed ventures. He will also take on broader operational responsibilities and chair PLP’s Risk Committee.
Ofei brings over 14 years of corporate legal experience with a strong focus on investment management and real estate. He joins from GLP Capital Partners (now part of Ares Management), where he served as Head of Legal for Europe, leading the legal function through a period of significant growth while enhancing the firm’s compliance and governance structures. Prior to that Ofei was a corporate lawyer at Proskauer, advising on private equity-backed transactions and general corporate matters.
